I am so excited to finally start my blog! I had thought about making one for about a year now, but never got up the courage—or motivation—to come up with a thorough plan regarding content and posting schedules. I hope you will all follow along on this journey as I try to figure out what the heck I’m doing!
I recently stopped into Sephora for the first time in months after checking out some new products on their website, as well as some of the recommendations I’d received from friends. YouTube beauty guru’s like Amanda Ensing and Nitraa B are my favorites to watch and get inspiration for my makeup routine.
While in the store, I picked up the new Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Dione, NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, and the new Too Faced #Tfnofilter Selfie Powders. Below I’ve got a little first impression/mini review of each product as well as their respective links so you can check them out.

I am a huge fan of Smashbox Cosmetics and was in need of a new face primer, so this seemed like a match made in heaven! Previously I had used the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, and that worked well, but the idea of primer that was a mist was a cool thing for me. So far I’ve only used it once, but it creates a good base for my liquid foundation. It leaves your face looking dewy and smooth.
This NARS eyeshadow is so vibrant, the picture does not do it justice! The color is a metallic champagne and is easily one of my favorite colors because it will work so well with both day and night looks. This was my first eyeshadow purchase from NARS – although I own a few other products from the company – but it will certainly not be my last.
Speaking of other NARS purchases, this tinted moisturizer is a first purchase for me. The moisturizer I used in the past was discontinued, so an alternative was something I desperately needed. Like any tinted moisturizer this provides a light to medium coverage but could easily be built up for a higher coverage. That’s actually my favorite part of this product: you can simply apply it with your hands for a quick light-makeup look, or apply blush and bronzer to it for a full face.
As crazy as it may seem, I’ve never used a liquid liner before. I’ve always used and angle brush with wet black eyeshadow or a cream liner, so trying this Kat Von D Tattoo Liner will definitely be an experience for me. I haven’t tried it on my eyes yet, but did a test on my hand and it places perfectly with the fine tip and the liner itself stays put.
I am not one to take a bunch of selfies, but this powder palette from Too Faced seemed like such a fun thing to try out! Each powder helps illuminate the face, creating a look better than any Instagram filter. Sephora did not have these out on display yet, but after asking a sales associate she went to the back and got one. The powders almost have a creamy texture, making them very easy to blend. My only concern with this product is how many selfies I’m going to take after using it!
Thank you guys so much for reading my first post here on Park Street Chic! I can’t wait to post more. Let me know in the comment section below or on social media what your favorite makeup products are! I’m always looking for new things to try.
