How to Style a Midi Skirt

Until recently, the thought of wearing a midi skirt scared me. I had this fear that a skirt that didn’t quite reach my ankles, but also want a mini skirt would somehow make me look even shorter than I already am (I’m 4’11”).

Well I’m here to tell you now that all of those preconceived notions are entirely false! I’m now convinced that ANYONE can rock a midi skirt, whether it be dressed up, dressed down, or somewhere in between.

Some of my favorite midi skirts

If you’re in the market for a midi skirt, I recommend checking out ASOS, Abercrombie, H&M, and NastyGal as some first stops! This leopard one I found at NastyGal, which has TONS of them in different prints and patterns and often have their products on sale (always a plus).

Back in the summer and early fall, I regularly paired midi skirts with a t shirt and a cardigan or jacket, but as the weather gets cooler, I’m finding myself styling them more with sweaters and blazers. As for shoes, there really isn’t anything you can’t wear with a midi skirt – it’s more a preference thing. I’ll wear flat shoes, like my Chloe boots, or some snakeskin booties and it always looks great.

So I want to know, have you implemented midi skirts into your wardrobe And if so, how are you styling them? Let me know in the comments!
